For those unfamiliar with it, the GR Corolla is an all-new rally-inspired hot hatch from Toyota that is being specifically designed for the North American market. It is currently slated to arrive at area dealership in fall 2022. The inaugural model will be available in two core trim levels. The Core trim level will be affordable but more upscale and stylized than the standard Corolla, and the top-spec Circuit Edition will be a more high-end hatchback with more amenities and track-oriented upgrades.

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla wheelbase is just shy of 104 inches, and the overall length is almost 174 inches—or about 14.5 feet. Toyota has opted for a rally-inspired design that is something unique among the other popular hot hatches in America, such as the Veloster N and Golf R. Notable features include a mean grille with a wide track and flared fenders. There is a rear diffuser, and the rear vents aren’t just there for their good looks but to improve cooling and enhance aerodynamics. The Circuit Edition upgrades this modern aesthetic further with 18-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels, a carbon-fiber roof and a vented hood.
